SUMMARY:

Despite the existence of many researches on Archaeological Black Earths, there is still a very large gap in the Amazon region, with many scientifically unexplored areas. In this way, this work aimed to characterize and classify the Archaeological Black Earths located in Rural Properties and in a riverside community in the southern mesoregion of the State of Roraima. In these locations, a total of 13 areas were dug trenches and the profiles were morphologically characterized and sampled for soil classification and carbon dating (14), the areas were georeferenced and measured, the land use histories were described, as well as the vegetation. predominant in the region. The following physical analyzes were performed: texture, soil densities. Chemical analysis consisted of: pH in water and KCl, exchangeable cations, exchangeable Al, available P, titratable acidity (H+Al), total N and organic matter. To make the maps, computational processing was used in a Geographic Information System - GIS, using geoprocessing tools with the aid of ArcGIS software version 10.6, the attributes made from SRTM images were (drainage network and relief). The profiles were classified in the Brazilian Soil Classification System as: Yellow Ultisol, Haplic Cambisol, Yellow Ultisol, Yellow Latosol, Yellow Latosol, Yellow Latosol, Yellow Ultisol, Yellow Latosol, Yellow Ultisol, Yellow Ultisol, Red-yellow Ultisol, Red Nitosol and Yellow Argisol. The inclusion of the anthropic subgroup in the SiBCS is suggested. The anthropic horizons of all profiles sampled in the region have a eutrophic character with the exception of 3. Presenting ages that ranged from 1120 to 1864 years BP. All TPA areas are associated with a drainage network ranging from a small stream approximately 6m wide to a large river, with the Branco river over 1700m wide. The 13 areas are located in places with little variation in relief, with a predominance of flat to gently undulating areas, outside the flooded area.
