SUMMARY:

Water, fundamental for life and various sectors such as agriculture, industry and ecosystems, faces availability challenges due to climate change, population growth and human activities. The sustainable management of this resource becomes crucial in the face of global scarcity, impacting basic needs, economic development and environmental preservation. The state of Roraima, especially during droughts, exemplifies the need to investigate how climate and human factors influence water availability. Temporal analyzes help to understand water dynamics and their relationship with climate and human activities. The use of technologies such as remote sensing facilitates the assessment of the amount of water, essential for effective management of the resource. The Mucajaí Micro Hydrographic Region, with its climatic diversity and marked population growth in recent decades, has highlighted the urgency in understanding and managing climate and human impacts on water, as it presents a region with a great diversity of anthropic, geological, phytophysiognomic, geomorphological and climatic. Therefore, the research proposes the analysis of water availability over 30 years, from 1991 to 2021, to understand the changes that have occurred and their factors. Firstly, we seek to identify how water availability has varied over time, using remote sensing data. The study delves deeper into the influence of land use and deforestation during this period, examining how these changes impacted water distribution. Additionally, the importance of climatic factors on water availability is considered. In an integrated manner, the interaction between climatic and anthropogenic elements will be analyzed to determine trends in water availability, considering the diversity of the studied territory. Finally, based on the analyzes carried out, the study aims to develop strategic recommendations to improve water management in the region with a view to supporting actions to mitigate impacts on the environment and society, and the construction of public water management policies. , which guarantee conservation, conscious use of resources and sustainability.
