THE USE OF A PULLEY SYSTEM AS A VISUALIZATION TOOL AND DEMONSTRATION OF THE CONCEPT OF FORCES AND DECOMPOSITION OF FORCES
Meaningful learning / social interaction, Physics teaching, Meaningful material, Strength.
The present work is the result of an educational proposal aimed at teaching dynamics with an emphasis on the concept of forces. The product was born from classroom observations that many of the students have diffificulties in correctly conceptualizing strength because they have a previously rooted concept based on learning. everyday. Thus, in order to innovate the teaching methods used in the classroom, the material seeks to arouse the interest of students from classes with an experimental character. A teaching proposal for high school physics teachers is presented, with the perspective of working on the content of force and decomposition of forces from the application of the Pulley System. Investigative situations, simulations, videos and experiments during scheduled classes. The proposal of this work will be carried out in 4 stages with a total of 6 classes. The study on force and decomposition of forces was produced based on David Ausubel’s theory of signifificant learning in conjunction with Lev S. Vygotsky’s Theory of Social Interaction. The analysis of the information that will be collected in the research, will be qualitative and will seek to verify the signifificant learning by the students. In this sense, demonstrative experimental activities will take place in 3 of the stages, emphasizing the way they are developed and the results obtained, highlighting positive and negative points that may be associated with the use of this strategy.
