Aquarium as a teaching tool for teaching geometric optics
Meaningful Learning; Teaching Physics; Geometric Optics; Experimental Approach.
The present work deals with a research whose main object is a proposal of didactic sequence, which approaches the teaching of concepts of Geometric Optics, through the use of an aquarium. The choice of theme was motivated by the need to, through the experimental approach, seek alternatives that arouse in students the motivation to learn. Aiming specifically to verify the efficiency of the use of the aquarium in the learning of concepts of Geometric Optics, the research, was developed with students of the second grade, of the Escola Estadual Boa Esperança da Vicinal 16, in the Municipality of Rorainópolis, South of the State of Roraima, finds support in the Theory of Meaningful Learning, by David Ausubel and adopts a qualitative approach. In view of the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the application of the pedagogical product had to be carried out with only 10 students. This work revealed a positive result in relation to physics
classes through the didactic sequence using an experiment for the content of geometric optics, because with the implementation of the aquarium in the classes, it was observed that the objective of the dissertation was successfully achieved, observed It can be seen that the comparison of correct answers for the guiding questions of concept formation was satisfactory, since, out of twelve questions, eleven presented a difference in assertive answers, when comparing the preand post-test questionnaires.
