SUMMARY:

Roraima is the northernmost state of Brazil, possessing a privileged and favorable geographical position regarding solar radiation levels. Due to its location, the state has a great potential for the implementation of photovoltaic systems aimed at the production of electricity. In addition, Roraima is the only state in the country that is not connected to the National Interconnected System (SIN), thus having a polluting energy production, high cost and unstable, due to the use of thermoelectric fueled diesel and natural gas. With this need for less polluting and sustainable means of electricity production, the population has sought as an alternative to solar energy, which in addition to bringing savings, is a renewable and clean energy, helping sustainability. The solar energy market has increased in Brazil and, in 2022, had an even greater growth due to the law 14300/22, which establishes the legal framework for micro and mini distributed generation. This research aims to analyze the strategies and demonstrate the viability of investment in photovoltaic energy for homes in the state of Roraima, after the legal framework. The methodology is based on a prospective bibliographic study on the technologies used in the market of Roraima, qualitative and quantitative. Interviews will also be conducted with experts from companies in the segment that operate in the region. The analysis of the results will be guided by the information collected in the field and studies showing that the implantation of solar energy in residence can be a medium/long-term investment, and can reduce the value of the energy bill by up to 95%.
