SUMMARY:

The research will seek to identify the elements that characterize the communication strategies of the Yanomami in the context of the removal of ilegal miners of the Yanomami Indigenous Land (TIY) in 2023 by the federal government. Efforts will be made to understand the role of language and speaking in the acquisition of knowledge; formation of leaders; political action; construction of subjectivity and ethnicity; and cultural awareness. The theoretical references used will be performance studies, autobiography, mediation and emergence of culture, among others. The relations between the Yanomami, the Brazilian society and the Brazilian nation-state will be analyzed, in the context of the threats faced by the ethnic group in recent years, the prospects for improvement and the beginning of the recovery of their living conditions in 2023. Aspects concerning the protagonism and expectations regarding native peoples in Brazil and in the contemporary world will be taken into account in light of the ecological concerns of the present moment.
