STRATEGIES USED BY BILINGUAL TEACHERS TO INCLUDE DEAF STUDENTS IN REGULAR EDUCATION IN MUNICIPAL SCHOOLS IN BOA VISTA-RR

The inclusion of deaf students in regular education requires a continuous commitment to inclusive pedagogical practices that are sensitive to individual needs. This work aims to track the strategies used by bilingual teachers in the inclusion of deaf students in municipal schools in Boa Vista-RR. This is a descriptive-exploratory study with a qualitative approach and will be carried out in the four municipal schools in Boa Vista - RR. The social group will be represented by 19 bilingual teachers, who teach in core schools in the municipality of Boa Vista - RR. Data collection will occur through a semi-structured interview with questions regarding the sociodemographic profile of bilingual teachers in addition to questions regarding their professional practices in the classroom when including deaf students. A literature search was carried out on the strategies used by bilingual teachers, including linguistic, pedagogical and interdisciplinary strategies. The analysis of these strategies highlights the importance of effective communication, the appropriate use of Sign Language and the adaptation of teaching materials to meet the individual needs of deaf students. Furthermore, collaboration between regular teachers and bilingual teachers is highlighted as a necessary factor for successful inclusion. The present study made it possible to contextualize and trace in the literature the strategies used by bilingual teachers to include Deaf students in regular education.
