Considering the expansion of venezuelan migrations to Roraima and the increasing participation of women in recent migratory processes, this work intends to identify the configuration of migratory networks and the process of (re) negotiation gender relations of venezuelan women in a migratory context in Boa Vista. – Roraima. In this way, the discussions will be developed around three central categories, namely: gender, social networks and migrations. This analytical context is justified from the understanding that women participate actively and independently in the construction of migratory projects and even in the articulation and structuring of migratory networks. Thus, the use of gender studies marks a political and reflexive position that focuses on social inequalities based on gender and the way in which these processes are manifested in female migrations. In addition, attention is paid to the issue that men and women experience international migration in different ways and, therefore, the reflections seek to understand what are the challenges posed to venezuelan migrant women before the migration decision itself, during the displacement and after arrival at the receiving society. In this sense, studies on social networks will support the analysis of the strategies developed in the process of confrontation of difficulties, protection and cooperation between women. Semistructured interviews were carried out with four venezuelan women who lived in Boa Vista, through which it was able to learn about their life stories, difficulties and dilemmas, seeking to know migrations from the reports of migrant women themselves, valuing the way they understood the experiences daily. The results obtained during the field research indicate the direct role of women in the creation, articulation and strengthening of social networks, including migratory networks; point out that, in some cases, there was a (re)negotiation of gender relations through the core role of women in the management of resources and information, in addition to family support. Among other aspects, the results show the need to think about and develop public policies aimed at confronting social inequalities, promoting respect for migrant populations, especially women, guaranteeing opportunities for access to the formal labor market, and that, for and finally, promote safe reception and real possibilities in the life transformations sought by venezuelan migrant women and their families.

Climate change has been worrying the world for a long time and even with the matter being urgently treated by the scientific community, many people still insist on ignoring the notable signs and impacts of the resulting climate crisis: melting glaciers, forest fires, rising of the average global temperature etc. With that in mind, the present research aims to carry out an analysis of how the climate crisis is worked on in highly-circulated and successful films, questioning the films “The day after tomorrow” (2004); “Avatar” (2009) and “Snowpiercer” (2013) their approaches to climate change and environmental guidelines, aiming to identify and analyze the representations contained therein, seeking to establish a relationship between the climate crisis and pop culture, pointing out its role as a vehicle for discussing the issue. To do so, we set our theoretical bases on Ecosocialism, a discussion developed by Löwy (2014), in addition to using concepts such as pop culture, presented by Zeisler (2008), drawing a parallel with authors of Social Communication who propose consonant ideas, such as Canclini (1997) and Kellner (2001); We also bring to the discussion terms such as climate change, which covers the exploitation of natural resources, highlighting deforestation in the global scenario and in the Amazon, thus proposing a dialogue between authors such as Hansen (2013), Marques (2018), Silva and Ravena ( 2015). We emphasize that the choice of the three cinematographic works mentioned, fell on the potential for analysis, although their plots may not be centered on the climate issue, being also taken in consideration the fact that they are highly successful films and broadcast on several platforms and are works that make use of different narrative forms and aesthetic resources.

The present Master's Thesis defended at the Postgraduate Program in Society and Borders (PPGSOF) of the Federal University of Roraima has the scope to deal with physical violence against Venezuelan migrants, from the perspective of human rights in Boa Vista-Roraima. Violence against women is a phenomenon that manifests the relationship of inequality between men and women, leading to gender violence existing in society. Therefore, it is important to consider the risk and vulnerability scenarios they face, such as the numerous cases of sexual abuse, sexual harassment, exploitation of their workforce, psychological violence and physical violence, among other situations that are exposed daily. In this sense, the research becomes important insofar as it sought to understand the aspects that are involved in increasing the rates of violence against women, especially the increase in violence against venezuelan migrant women in Boa Vista. In this context, we analyze the physical violence against Venezuelan migrant women who are in social vulnerability, from the perspective of human rights. This research is justified from the need to approach physical violence against Venezuelan migrant women, from the perspective of Human Rights. This dissertation is organized into four chapters, and its discursive structure is based on a socio-legal analysis, in order to understand the increase in physical violence against Venezuelan migrant women in Boa Vista. The theoretical contribution of the dissertation is anchored in the categories, which are the following concepts: physical violence, gender violence, migration and human rights, which is why they were instrumentalized throughout the chapters. As a methodological procedure, we used bibliographic reviews, documental research, research on local and national newspaper sites and semi-structured interviews were used with 5 (five) managers who work in the public agency that confront violence against women in Roraima in order to obtain information about the problematic presented. The dissertation also collected documentary records from official institutions that work in the process of confrontation violence against women in Boa Vista in the last five years that helped to understand the increase in violence against Venezuelan migrant women.

This Master's Thesis defended in the Postgraduate Program in Society and Borders (PPGSOF) of the Federal University of Roraima developed studies with an emphasis on the triad transparency, accountability and social control of public purchases made by the Federal Government through bids and contracts, according to the Access to Information Law, based on the actions of the emergency assistance and humanitarian aid task force and its interconnections with migration and the migratory industry in Roraima. The research contributed to the deepening of the theme in migratory studies, to the production of knowledge about the 'migration industry' in Roraima and to the production of knowledge in the PPGSOF. It aimed to understand the execution of the public budget, through the Social Audit, due to the development of the Venezuelan migration industry in the context of the State of Roraima; apprehend migratory theories in economic perspectives in light of the context of Venezuelan migrations and the participation of migrants and civil society institutions in social control; elucidate the process of the migratory industry and its interconnections with the governance and governance of international and Venezuelan migrations; to develop analyzes of budget execution resulting from governmental actions in the implementation of Operação Acolhida, especially regarding the execution of administrative contracts, under the aspect of law 12.527/11, known as the Law of Access to Information - LAI and rules for handling public resources. Based on the qualitative-quantitative methodology, it concluded that it is unthinkable to deal with migration management, or migration itself, without, however, addressing the industry that involves it, its complexity, and the set of actors that facilitates, sustains and expands the commodification of the process of international mobility, since migration is big business.

In the conjunction of democratic societies, there have been constant pressures on police organizations to change their predominant structure of exercising their functions based on the use of force as a conventional means of controlling crime. Faced with this bleak historical scenario, the community policing model emerges as a promising possibility to reverse the view of social and political disrepute of public security agencies. This work methodology aims to bring the police and their communities together in the discussion, elaboration and actions of crime prevention and control policies. For this, Brazil and Japan have signed Technical Cooperation Agreements with the objective of exchanging experiences, where members of the Brazilian police, financed by the term, sought to learn about the community policing model in Japan, the so-called Koban System, and adapt them to the Brazilian reality. As part of the agreement, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, through the National Secretariat of Public Security, must encourage federal entities to practice police that is in accordance with the postulates of the Community Police, allowing the construction of a system that is based on the cooperation and democratic systemic vision, according to the constitutional precepts. The State of Roraima is one of the participating entities in the agreements. This project aims to analyze the International Technical Cooperation Agreement between Brazil and Japan through the National Secretariat of Public Security, the Brazilian Agency for International Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its influence on public security policies in the State of Roraima.

Migration in Venezuela emerges in an unusual and unprecedented way in the annals of contemporary Venezuelan history, becoming the greatest and most undesirable humanitarian crisis that the country has experienced, reaching unprecedented levels of degradation of human dignity. The causes of the migratory fact have been studied from the linear perspective of objective factors, leaving aside the systematic origin that structures it subjectively. This has also been happening in the context of refugee protection, when insufficient public policies are applied to protect their rights by international organizations, in some cases, and, by the Brazilian nation, in other situations. This work seeks to achieve, through the deductive method, a creative exposition of adequate paradigms, brought to the factual scenario, but with legal foundations that support them in the institutional sphere and in the national regulatory order. Thus, the results of the bibliographic-documentary research in the sphere of International Human Rights Law, International Refugee Law, and International Humanitarian Law, aim to improve the criteria adopted by Brazil in terms of refuge, seeking to contribute to the foreign policy of the Brazilian nation, with regard to human rights, especially the rights of refugees as set out in the Cartagena Declaration. Thus, the objective of the study seeks to contribute to the internal public policies, and to the foreign policy on refugees, until now adopted by the Brazilian nation, important elements to materialize in institutional practice, allowing Brazil to fulfill, in a more adequate and effectively, its international human rights commitments, and especially with regard to the right of refuge. The study had a spatial delimitation determined by the Venezuelan migratory flow located in the Roraima Federation Unit and was carried out taking into account the temporal dimension comprised from the years 2015 to 2020.

This work aims to carry out a socio-juridical analysis of domestic violence against women in Roraima: the challenges of application and effectiveness of laws: Maria da Penha and femicide. It is initially presented the introduction, the methodology, research carried out through a wide survey of sources, such as bibliographic research, documental research and direct observation and content analysis, being a qualitative research. The theoretical bases to explain the research are the concepts of violence, violence against women and gender violence. The following describes the history of women in Brazil and the laws: Maria da Penha and Feminicide. A posteriori, we investigate domestic violence against women and the policy of confrontation: Casa da Mulher Brasileira and CHAME - the effectiveness and applicability of laws: Maria da Penha n°11.340 and Feminicide n°13.104/15. The research results showed that in Roraima the Casa da Mulher Brasileira, has become a reference for the care of women, has an active and humanized listening and services of reception and protection to the different types of violence and the Humanitarian Center of Support to the Mulher (Chame) has also become an important agent in the fight against gender inequalities and in the protection of women victims of domestic and family violence. In this context, the profile of women who suffer domestic violence stands out. Graph 04 of the CBM, on the other hand, shows that a low level of schooling predominates among women victims of domestic violence, with the highest rate being women without schooling, with a total of 2,062. Thus, CBM's graph 05 shows that the women who suffer the most violence are single marital status, with a total of 4,285. CBM's graph 06 shows the brown color as predominant among women who suffer domestic violence, with a total of 4,683 attendances. About the different types of violence in graphs 07 from CBM, 09 from CHAME/RR carried out by ZapChame and 11 from CHAME/RR carried out in person show psychological violence at a higher rate with a total of 5,003 women. About Feminicide, in Roraima, the year 2020 had 09 femicide, in the year 2021 there was a reduction to 4 women. It is conjectured that the work developed in an integrated manner by the various bodies responsible for combating domestic violence against women has been positive. The Maria da Penha Law provided greater visibility to domestic violence, as well as being implemented, from the moment it came into force, women victims of violence began to denounce the crime and know their rights under the law. However, there is still a high rate of cases of aggression against women. Finally, the various factors that influence domestic violence were discussed, on the one hand are socioeconomic factors (lack of employment, housing, public health, schools, etc.), on the other hand, the results of a patriarchal culture linked to society, a culture that privileges men placing in the spaces of power, this gender inequality, subjugates women.

The development of the present research made possible an analysis of the social importance of evangelical churches in the work with Venezuelan immigrants in Roraima, a reflection on the social role of these churches as institutions that offer reception, in addition, it also allowed to observe that immigration brought changes to the churches and for Roraima society, as they had to use different resources to perform reception. The gospel awakens the human being for social promotion and the converted subject manifests this state of mind to be useful to his neighbor. Brazil has received many immigrants and refugees, and the important role of churches in welcoming and supporting these vulnerable people stands out. In analyzing the process of welcoming Venezuelan immigrants, it is necessary to identify the theological directions of the evangelical churches. To analyze the work carried out in Roraima, we will use theological models of immigration. The research aims to analyze the theological directions of the churches in the actions of reception, from the scenario developed for the humanitarian intervention in the state of Roraima. The present work is a research with a basic strategic purpose, with descriptive and exploratory objectives, carried out by the deductive method, with a qualitative approach and carried out through a bibliographic and documentary survey.

Racism is a complex ideology that is currently present in culture, politics, economy, and people’s social and institutional life, i.e., it is a domination strategy based on the hierarchical conception of lower and higher races. This way, this phenomenon presumes that is a hierarchy of lower and higher races, in which the white individual is on top, being the ideal place in life. This study aims to understand how racism appears in childhood memories of adults who identify themselves as black people in the city of Boa Vista, the capital city of the State of Roraima. To do so, authors who work with the concepts of racism, childhood racial violence, social class, gender, and memories were studied. Methodology was through oral history, in which interviews supplies stories of individuals who lived related events in their private and collective lives, that is, the individual’s memory. History is essential to understanding the present time, because only through the oral source it is possible to access fears, likings, dreams, beliefs and memories of the past of unknown people who passed through these situations in their time. As results, it was possible to understand that racism during childhood in school, family, and other social spaces has caused psychosocial impacts such as denial of their own racial features, trouble in their identity construction and creating a positive image of themselves. The lack of representativity also emerged as a factor that made it hard to create the black identity. Meanwhile, childhood racism issues reverberated throughout their lives and showed up in many ways such as difficulty to establish romantic relationships. Finally, psychosocial strategies were identified to fight racism such as discussions about racial relationships, empowerment, being the best their own activities, and the denial to live racism.

The Master's Thesis that we present deals with the international mobility of indigenous Venezuelans of the E´ñepá ethnicity to Brazil, approached from the subjectivities of those who live it that result in the reordering of the lives of these beings of extraordinary resistance. the dynamics of displacement and patterns of space occupation in their ancestral territories, the paths as spaces, as well as the places of arrival. The study is important insofar as it aims to provoke a critical look at the causes and consequences of the mobility of indigenous populations, beyond the territories to which multiplex activities have been integrated since ancient times; in turn, it is justified by the few studies related to this type of migration, focused on the experiences lived and felt in the territories of departure, routes and territories of arrival, causes and implications in their ethnic and cultural reordering from the physical rupture with their territories.

Law No. 9,504/97, amended by Law No. 12,034/09, establishes the rules for Brazilian elections in terms of the number of seats for political parties, with the new wording in its third paragraph: “The number of seats resulting from the rules provided for in this article, each party or coalition will fill a minimum of 30% (thirty percent) and a maximum of 70% (seventy percent) for candidacies of each sex”. The law constituted a mini-reform in which political parties became obliged to fill in at least 30% of female candidates. Gender quotas represent an action in an attempt to promote gender equality in Brazilian political participation. The present work aims to analyze the life trajectory and political mandates of former senator Ângela Portela (PP) and federal deputy Joênia Wapichana (REDE), based on candidacies initiated in Roraima. In order to achieve these goals, it was decided in the foreground to elaborate a biographical questionnaire and with that to trace the profile of these two women. At the end, a table was created, where important aspects of each one's individual trajectory were explored, questions about birth, marriage, education, family and employment. It was found that part of the female candidacies initiated in Roraima, occurs through kinship ties. In a second moment, the partisan participation of the two was analyzed, using content analysis as a methodological tool, starting with a pre-analysis of the production of bills, participation in committees and other actions in the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate. When studying these mandates, it was found that part of the themes worked by Ângela Portela and Joênia Wapichana are directed to social agendas, such as health, human rights, indigenous peoples and women.

This interdisciplinarity-oriented dissertation covers migratory studies and intercultural studies from the perspective of education conceived from a cross-border context marked by Venezuelan migrations. Roraima is a state historically characterized by successive migrations and encounters of different cultures that result in intercultural exchanges present in art, architecture, specialties, religion, cuisine, and so on. It is migrants who promote these interactions, which are not always spontaneous or simultaneous. They are often tense, violent and result in xenophobia, intolerance, discrimination, and resistance to the new and to the changes inherent to the intercultural interactions that take place in migratory contexts. In the last five or six years, the state of Roraima has become a reference in welcoming Venezuelan migrants. This new situation offers opportunities for new social interactions that were observed at a micro-sociological level with the aim of deepening the issue of migration, in the intercultural perspective observed in the intercultural interactions experienced by high school students in a school in Boa Vista - Roraima. Conducted by qualitative methodology, the field research was carried out with interviews and application of questionnaires to Brazilian and Venezuelan students to identify elements that allowed a reinterpretation of migrations from the intercultural interactions observed in the daily life of the school. The study sought to verify the potential of intercultural education to rethink the school in a cross-border context. The results of both the interviews and the field observations found that, in fact, there are reciprocity relationships on the part of Brazilian and Venezuelan students and that intercultural relationships are processed in the daily experience of students in the school environment.

This work is an exploratory and bibliographic research. Quantitative methods will be adopted, such as statistical data on students and others and qualitative methods, such as interviews on google forms with course coordinators, teachers and students of the Program. Law 9.474/97 defines mechanisms for the implementation of the 1951 Refugee Statute, guaranteeing refugees the right to university education. Subsequently, other legislation extended these rights to asylum seekers and vulnerable immigrants. Universities must offer services to facilitate the education of this target audience, as well as policies to assist with their stay. To this end, UFRR created, through Resolution nº 007/2018 CEPE, the UFRR Higher Education Access Program for asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants in vulnerable situations. It is noted through the preliminary data the lack of an integrative institutional policy and permanence mechanisms for these students. Thus, this work will address the concepts related to migration processes, relevant legislation and how the selection process occurs, but mainly, it will try to verify what are the problems and obstacles for these students to carry out the undergraduate course to completion.

The present study aims to outline an overview of the trajectory of construction of a National Food Safety Policy for and the different conceptions that support the theoretical perspectives and the directions aimed at coping with hunger in Brazil, and interfaces with indigenous demands in urban contexts, based on the selection of articles, dissertations, theses, books, surveys, reports, electronic journals collected through research in lilacs (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences), SciElo (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and PubMed, scientific meeting reports, nutritional surveys, map of hunger, made it possible to analyze the role of multilateral agencies in directing global policies, with developments at the national level, the role of social movements in the construction of this public policy. The paths and mishaps in the construction of this National Policy and the debate in the field of social sciences are the focus of discussion and the problematization of the lack of public policies of Food and Nutritional Security directed to indigenous specificities in urban contexts. I have considerations regarding the shortcomings in the studies on Food Security and Nutritional among indigenous peoples in an urban context and the problem of the absence of public policies that address the demands of this population, adding to this, the absence of a legal device that guarantee them basic social rights.
